Drupal Europe: I will be presenting "No!"

Wed, 2018-08-01 10:59

I'm over the moon to announce that I will be speaking in Drupal Europe 2018!

I had a great time at DrupalCon Vienna last year, and had the opportunity to meet the awesome we know and love, Sebastian "phpunit" Bergmann, the CloudFlare team and several other people involved in Drupal. It was a great pleasure talking about what's new in PHP 7+, and thanks for attending my session: PHP 7+: The Whys and the Hows.

This year, the session title is simply "No!". The seed of the talk is Larry Garfield's talk on DrupalCon LA 2015.

The talk is about why it's important to say no to certain things in your software development lifecycle, how it benefits you, and how not to be a jerk when doing so.

I will update more information once the selected talks are officially announced.

I'm already in Europe early this year, and doing a biking trip from Amsterdam, Strasbourg, all the way to Lisbon. I will be stretching my limits to reach the highest point of Pyrenees (3404 m), and I have already biked my way to Mont Ventoux (1909 m). If you are on the way, or want to catch me up at Darmstadt, Frankfurt, Lisbon, Barcelona, or Munich Oktoberfest, shoot me a message and I'd love to meet you!
